Leaked Black PS5 DualSense Controller

A Twitter account recently shared multiple images of the alleged black PS5 DualSense controller. The photos not only show the new color variant for the PS5’s companion accessory but also the dimensions of the controller. The controller in the images measure around 180mm wide and 120mm high.

Contrasting the officially announced DualSense controller, the black mock-up has no white contrast in the bottom part of the frame. Interestingly, its white buttons offer this color contrast with the joystick sticking to black color. Unfortunately, the leakster claimed that the image is from an unknown source.

Whispers online about an all-black version of the PS5 DualSense controller have been making rounds these past months. Fans are debating whether the black color option of the PS5 hardware would be real. Some members of the community, however are quick to shoot down these claims.

Even if the leaked image of the black PS5 DualSense controller is genuine, it may not necessarily match the final product according to VGC. The site believes that it is possible that the controller in the leaked image is the prototype version of the forthcoming controller or intended for the PS5 dev kit.

PS5 DualSense Controller

In April 2020, Sony Interactive Entertainment officially revealed the DualSense controller. The company describes it as a radical departure from the earlier DualShock pads. The official PS5 DualSense controller sports a two-toned design with haptic feedback. It also features adaptive triggers, updates to hand triggers, built-in microphone and light bar.

Earlier this week, the Japanese gaming giant updated the official site of the PS5 with a new 360-degree look at the DualSense controller. The update offers fans access to the back part of the controller, which seemingly confirmed one disappointing feature. Based on the imagery, the PS5 Dualsense controller has no back button.

Sony announced that the PS5 would arrive sometime in the Holiday of 2020.
