New York Fashion Week 2016: Taoray Wang Puts A Feminine Touch On Masculine Work Wear For Collection [PHOTOS]
Chinese designer Taoray Wang managed to take normally masculine work attire and turn them into delicate and girly outfits for her spring/summer 2017 collection. The designer was one of several to showcase her new work on Day 5 of New York Fashion Week.
Wang is known as the “Queen of the suit” in her home country, and the designer brought that skill to the runway dressing models in loose-fitting blouses and oversized dress pants, pinstriped trousers and nude shirts with a deep v-neck, and tailored blazers. The designer’s dresses included high collars, lace detail and high slits.
Wang’s collection marked three years she has shown at New York Fashion Week; she made her debut in 2014. According to NBC, Wang designs her clothes for professional women who hold high-powered positions and want to show up to work in head-turning outfits that are artsy yet feminine at the same time.
Among celebrities checking out Wang’s spring/summer 2017 collection were Donald Trump’s daughter Tiffany Trump, “The Flash” actress Violett Beane, “Dead of Summer” star Amber Coney and singer Symon. Check out some of Wang’s NYFW looks below:
