Newsmax Receiving Hate After Making Fun Of The First Dog, 'Look A Little Rough'
The news outlet Newsmax came under fire on Friday after the show’s host and guest poked fun at President Joe Biden’s 12-year-old German Sheperd.
Greg Kelly, host of Greg Kelly Reports, on Newsmax, decided to take jabs at the First Dog Champ’s appearance, for reasons unknown. Craig Shirley, one of his guests, also shared his opinions about the White House dog.

“Did you see the dog?” Kelly asked. “Doesn’t he look a little, uh— a little rough? I love dogs but this dog needs a bath and a comb and all kinds of love and care. I’ve never seen a dog in the White House like this.”
Shirley went on to say that he’s “very dirty and disheveled, and very unlike a presidential dog like Millie or Victory, or any other dog that I’ve seen in the White House.”
This brought the show, the host and the guests backlash on social media when the clips were released.
I bet dogs growl when they meet this loser. https://t.co/SCDIvGWCdr

I don't know, it could be me, but Newsmax dissing the White House dogs could be the kind of tactical error only a network run by and for complete idiots would make. It's like they had a meeting about developing strategy with no upside. pic.twitter.com/wByKY7C4aX

Champ was purchased by the Biden family after former President Barak Obama won the presidency in 2008 and Joe Biden became his Vice President.
The other First Pet, Major, is only 3-years-old and is a rescue. He’s also the first shelter dog to ever live in the White House.
It is unclear if the comments about Champ could hurt Newsmax or Kelly in any way.
