If the early betting odds are any indication, there should be a ton of competitive games on the upcoming NFL Sunday. The 12-game schedule has only one double-digit point spread, and half the favorites are laying no more than a field goal.

The Baltimore Ravens are Sunday’s biggest favorites, laying 11.5 points at home against the winless Cincinnati Bengals. The New York Jets are 8.5-point underdogs against the Dallas Cowboys, making the defending NFC East champions the week’s biggest road favorites.

The Carolina Panthers (London), Atlanta Falcons and Washington Redskins are also favored on the road. Washington is still searching for their first win, but they are given the edge over the Miami Dolphins. Miami is 0-4 with a league-worst minus-137 point differential, despite being one of the few teams that have already had their bye week.

It’s possible that the Seattle Seahawks could be road favorites come Sunday. They had been two-point underdogs against the Cleveland Browns. The line has moved down to a point at some sportsbooks since Cleveland was blown out on “Monday Night Football” by the San Francisco 49ers.

San Francisco is the NFC’s lone undefeated team. The 49ers will attempt to beat a winning team for the first time as four-point underdogs against the Los Angeles Rams. A win might make San Francisco the team to beat in the NFC West.

As the only NFL team with a 5-0 record and the clear best team in football, the New England Patriots are 16.5-point favorites against the New York Giants on “Thursday Night Football.” The defending Super Bowl champions are favored by more than two touchdowns for the fourth time this season.

The Green Bay Packers are 4.5-point favorites on “Monday Night Football” in a matchup with the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field. The winner will have sole possession of first place in the NFC North.
