The NFC East is usually among the most competitive divisions in the NFL. It’s been 15 years since a team repeated as the NFC East champion. The Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and New York Giants all have at least one division title within the last eight seasons.

How many games will each NFC East team win in the 2019 NFL season? Below are predictions for the division, based on the latest over/under win totals at New Jersey’s FanDuel Sportsbook.

Philadelphia Eagles: 9.5 Wins (-176 Over/+145 Under)

The Eagles are two seasons removed from winning the Super Bowl and nearly reached the 2019 NFC Championship Game. Philadelphia remains strong on the offensive and defensive lines. They added running back Jordan Howard to a team with a talented receiving corps. As long as Wentz remains healthy for most of the season, winning 10 games won’t be a problem.

Dallas Cowboys: 9 Wins (+100 Over/-120 Under)

Don’t be surprised if Dallas loses some games they should win out of the gate. Demarcus Lawrence and Amari Cooper are both dealing with injuries. Ezekiel Elliott is continuing his holdout. A slow start could be trouble with visits to New Orleans, New England and Chicago scheduled for later in the year. A 10-win season could be difficult to achieve as the second-best team in the division.

Prediction: Under

Washington Redskins: 6 Wins (-120 Over/+100 Under)

Whether its Case Keenum or Dwayne Haskins under center, the Redskins will likely have one of the NFC’s worst quarterbacks. The holdout of left tackle Trent Williams certainly won’t help either of those players succeed. Washington has an underwhelming receiving corps and a defense that’s never ranked in the top half of the NFL under head coach Jay Gruden, who might not make it through the season because of what could be a long year.

Prediction: Under

New York Giants: 6 Wins (+125 Over/-150 Under)

The Giants aren’t a good team. That doesn’t mean they’re going to be the disaster many are expecting them to be in 2019. When Golden Tate returns from his four-game suspension, he’ll be part of an offense with Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram that has some impressive playmakers. The offensive line might actually be good. There are signs that Daniel Jones will at least be a competent quarterback when he eventually takes over for Eli Manning. The defense will keep New York from being a playoff contender, but 7-9 is very realistic.
