NFL Playoff Picks Against The Spread 2023: Predictions ATS, Odds For Divisional Games
All four games in the divisional round of the 2023 NFL playoffs feature a point spread north of a field goal following an exciting wild-card weekend.
After drawing first-round byes, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are favored by more than a touchdown at home Saturday. The Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers are slight favorites on Sunday's schedule
Here are picks against the spread for all the divisional playoff games. The latest betting odds are from FanDuel and DraftKings Sportsbook.
Jacksonville Jaguars (+8.5) at Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs had no trouble beating the Jaguars in the regular season. Their playoff meeting probably won't be much different. Kansas City had a two-score lead for the final 39 minutes and 55 seconds of its 27-17 victory over Jacksonville. Patrick Mahomes completed 74.3% of his passes for 329 yards and four touchdowns. The quarterback is 4-0 in the divisional playoffs, leading the Chiefs to an average of 36.5 points per game. If the Jaguars fall behind early like they did in the wild-card round, they won't make another comeback.
Prediction ATS: Kansas City
New York Giants (+7.5) at Philadelphia Eagles
The Giants should keep this game close, at the very least. They are well-coached with a quarterback who rarely makes big mistakes. Jalen Hurts is still dealing with a sprained shoulder, which forced him to miss two games. Philadelphia's quarterback had a 65.0 passer rating and 13 rushing yards when he returned in Week 18 in a 22-16 victory over New York. Daniel Jones didn't play in that contest and just became the first quarterback to have 300 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and at least 70 rushing yards in a playoff game.
Prediction ATS: New York
Cincinnati Bengals (+5) at Buffalo Bills
The Bengals and the Bills are pretty evenly matched. The point spread indicates otherwise, likely because of Cincinnati's injuries on the offensive line. Poor protection up front didn't stop Joe Burrow and the Bengals from reaching last year's Super Bowl. It might not keep Cincinnati out of a second straight AFC Championship Game. Cincinnati's receiving corps is one of the league's few that has the edge over Buffalo's secondary. Josh Allen has 32 combined interceptions and fumbles this season.
Prediction ATS: Cincinnati
Dallas Cowboys (+4) at San Francisco 49ers
This line is too low after the Cowboys took advantage of a bad Buccaneers team in the wild-card round. San Francisco's hot streak has continued into the playoffs. The 49ers have won 11 games in a row by an average score of 31-15. Since Brock Purdy took over the offense, San Francisco has scored at least 33 points in six out of seven games. No player has rushed for even 70 yards against the 49ers this season. Dak Prescott hasn't been consistent enough this season to have confidence that he'll be great for a second straight week.
Prediction ATS: San Francisco
