NFL Rumors: Packers, Chiefs, Saints, Patriots In Contention To Sign Odell Beckham Jr.
After being released by the Cleveland Browns and clearing waivers, Odell Beckham Jr. is able to sign with any NFL team that wants him. Heading into Week 10, several playoff contenders are reportedly in contention to acquire the wide receiver.
Beckham is focusing on the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints, according to ESPN’s Dianna Russini. The New England Patriots are pursuing Beckham, according to ProFootballTalk. The Seattle Seahawks have also been linked to the three-time Pro Bowl player.

Green Bay has offered Beckham Jr. a veteran minimum contract, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. With about $4 million in cap space, the Packers’ offer is not a serious attempt to sign Beckham, according to PFT.
Seattle has the most cap space among the teams in the mix for Beckham. Joining the Seahawks would theoretically make the 29-year-old Russell Wilson’s third option behind DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
New Orleans is viewed by some as Beckham’s most likely destination. With the season-ending ankle injury to Michael Thomas, Beckham would immediately become the Saints’ top receiver. The Saints are the NFC’s No. 6 seed halfway through the season.

Green Bay's minimum-salary offer to OBJ is being regarded by some as not a serious attempt to sign him, but as a hollow gesture aimed at creating the impression that they tried.

The Saints might not be a serious threat to win the Super Bowl now that Jameis Winston is out for the year. The Packers are the NFC’s No. 2 seed and one of the top championship contenders. Despite the Chiefs’ struggles, Kansas City remains a threat in the AFC.
In Green Bay and Kansas City, Beckham has a chance to play with two of the NFL’s best quarterbacks. He would also be the No. 2 receiver behind the Packers' Davante Adams and the Chiefs' Tyreek Hill.
Beckham has 17 catches for 232 yards in six games this season.
