The Jacksonville Jaguars may need to realize that at some point, Jalen Ramsey needs to go. The 24-year-old cornerback has reportedly missed practice again on account of a back injury. This makes the second straight day that the fifth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft has missed team practice.

According to lead editor Demetrious Harvey of Locked on Jaguars, Ramsey is not expected to practice for the second straight day. He further added that the cornerback has now missed a total of six straight days and will likely not play for the Jaguars when they face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at the Bank of America Stadium.

For the record, the said injury is the same one that kept Ramsey out of the Jaguar's last game against the Denver Broncos. The thing here is that not everyone appears to be buying it, likely linking it to his trade demand. Regardless, team owner Shad Khan remains firm that they have no intention of trading Ramsey to another NFL team now.

"We value the values Jalen adds to us, to the Jaguars. I think we value him highly. We’re still looking at what is the right thing for the Jaguars, and I think right now the best thing is to have him be part of the team,” Khan said in a report from ESPN.

The Jaguars are in a very peculiar situation if they remain firm on their decision of not giving in to Ramsey's trade request. Even if an NFL trade were to happen, the Jaguars are likely to ask for something hefty from teams who may be interested in the two-time Pro Bowler.

Heading into their game against the Panthers, not having Ramsey around could further dampen their chances. According to BetMGM, the Jags are already road underdogs by a margin of 3.5 points.

In a previous post, an unnamed NFL team had already offered two first-round picks in exchange for Ramsey. The Jaguars reportedly thumbed down the offer, believing that the said team was pulling a fast one. It is believed that the team is already a good one and that the same team will also be picking late in the NFL Draft for the next two years.

One person who wants this Jalen Ramsey trade to be done and over with is head coach Tom Coughlin. He is apparently aware that the issue is hurting the team and is ready to move on without the 2017 First-team All-Pro.
