K-pop band N.Flying has severed ties with on of its four band members amid accusation of sexual misconduct.

The accusations were made against Kwon Kwang-jin, also known as Kwangjin, as fans accused him of inappropriate behavior, CNN reported. Kwangjin is the leader of N.Flying and also the bassist.

The accusations against Kwangjin were made online, which later prompted fans to banded together, creating a Twitter hashtag that promoted the departure of Kwangjin from N.Flying, CNN reported.

N.Flying’s label FNC Entertainment responded in a statement posted to its website on Wednesday, which read, “After meeting face to face with the individuals who were involved in the currently spreading online rumors related to Kwangjin, we've confirmed that elements of the rumors including Kwangjin's dating scandal with fans, sexual harassment claims, and more are not true.”

However, the statement did indicate that Kwangjin held “personal meetings with fans outside of official promotional activities.

“Seeking personal relationships with fans no matter what the reason is, is improper behavior for a member of a band,” FNC Entertainment said in the statement. “Until we are able to discover the full truth regarding the ongoing rumors, Kwangjin will halt all broadcast and promotional activities and partake in a time of reflection.”

The label also said that it would take “strict legal action should some online posts prove to be false and of malicious nature.”

South Korean labels strictly control their artists’ behavior and those that defy the rules face censure or dismissal, CNN reported.
