Nick Gordon 'Very Upset' After Death Of Girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown, Says Source

Nick Gordon is said to be struggling to cope with the loss of Bobbi Kristina Brown. The 25-year-old had been barred from visiting his former girlfriend since she was first hospitalized AJan. 31. The 22-year-old died Sunday after several months in hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and hospice care.

People reported Gordon, who may soon be facing murder charges in Bobbi Kristina's death, is "very upset." Sources tell the publication although their relationship may not have been perfect, he truly loved and cared for her. He reportedly was "devastated" to learn she had died.

"Nick is very upset," the source said. "You can say what you want about him and Bobbi Kristina, but he really did love her very much and is devastated that she is gone."

Gordon is said to be so heartbroken by Bobbi Kristina's death that he has had to be placed on suicide watch. Sources told Hollywood Life he is "overcome by grief and sadness." He is said to believe that had he been able to see her and talk to her, she may have pulled through.

Gordon was very vocal about his desire to see Bobbi Kristina prior to her death, pleading with members of her family and sharing telling posts on social media. Although he has continued to claim that both the Brown and Houston families had refused to allow him to visit, a statement from Bobbi Kristina's father, Bobby Brown, released in February said otherwise. The 46-year-old told the public Gordon was given the option to concede to certain guidelines and see Bobbi Kristina or stay away. He refused to cooperate and thus was not granted access to his girlfriend's bedside.

Although People's sources said Gordon was very much in love with Bobbi Kristina, he is currently at the center of a potential murder investigation. He has been slammed with a lawsuit from attorney Bedelia C. Hargrove claiming he lied to, stole from and abused Bobbi Kristina throughout the duration of their relationship. Gordon is said to have perpetuated the farce that he and his girlfriend were actually a married couple to limit her social interactions with other men. He is also accused of having stolen money from her bank account, depositing it into his own on the day of her accident. As we previously reported he is said to have put together a strong legal team to back him should the murder trial come to fruition.

Bobbi Kristina died Sunday at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Georgia. She has been at the facility since June 24. Her family released a statement shortly after her passing, assuring fans and supporters she was surrounded by family at the time of her death. The statement went on to say that "she is finally at peace."

It is not known when the family plans to bury Bobbi Kristina. It has, however, been reported she will either be buried in the same cemetery as her late mother, Whitney Houston, or be sharing a burial plot with her.
