Nicki Minaj Says Los Angeles Earthquake Made Her 'Re-evaluate Her Entire Life'
Nicki Minaj is a New York native, and experienced a shock during her stay in California. The rapper was alarmed when she felt the earthquake that was felt across Los Angeles on Monday.
“That was the scariest earthquake this lil New York girl ever experienced in Cali [sic]. Unbelievable this time,” she tweeted to fans Monday morning. She later wrote, "This earthquake just made me re-evaluate my entire life. lol. I swear it felt like the entire house was picked up n thrown down the block."
The earthquake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, had a magnitude of 4.4 and was centered 15 miles west-northwest of the downtown civic center. It took place at 6:25 a.m. at a depth of about 5 miles, and there were several aftershocks. Fortunately, Los Angeles police and fire officials told the Associated Press there were no immediate reports of damage.
"Today's earthquake is a reminder that every L.A. family must be prepared with food, water and other essentials, as well as a plan," Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a statement. "While it appears the greatest impact of this temblor was a rude awakening, we are executing our post-earthquake protocols to survey our neighborhoods and critical infrastructure."
Meanwhile, Minaj has been busy filming her latest music video, “Senile,” and sharing sneak peeks of her attire on social media. The 31-year-old has not revealed when the video will be released, but shows off an interesting wardrobe, complete with Moschino underwear, large hoop earring, and even a large ‘Barbie’ tattoo on her stomach.
