Nicki Minaj Teases David Guetta, Lil Wayne Collaboration On Instagram
After breaking Aretha Franklin’s record for having the most Billboard Hot 100 hits, Nicki Minaj seems to be planning to keep the title to herself a little longer. The “Anaconda” hitmaker just announced on social media that her new song is scheduled to drop later this week.
On Tuesday, Minaj took to Instagram to announce her upcoming collaboration with David Guetta and Lil Wayne. Meek Mill’s ex broke the good news to her fans by posting the cover art for the single, entitled “Light My Body Up.”
She also teased her fans by asking a question directed at Guetta: “So this what we doin now David?” Minaj then revealed that the new single is slated for release this Friday.

Many of Minaj’s fans quickly expressed their excitement for Minaj’s new music in the comments. One fan wrote: “I swear she never sleeps. I hope this is how 2017 is, never ending Nicki.” Another chimed in: “This is Nicki’s year I swear. And the crazy thing is she’s still giving these girls leeway and they still couldn’t take her spot. Yikes.”
Minaj’s announcement comes less than a day since it was revealed that she now has 76 Billboard Hot 100 entries. The “No Frauds” rapper previously expressed her gratitude on Instagram, saying: “To my fans: I … love u guys more than I’ll ever be able to put in words … God bless each & everyone of you. To God be the glory.” She also celebrated her new milestone by sharing a clip of her twerking. The clip quickly generated more than four million likes hours after it was posted.
Meanwhile, Minaj recently shared a clip of her meeting her fans personally in London. Queen Barbz stepped out of her car and talked to her fans after learning that they waited for her for hours despite the freezing cold weather. At one point in the video, Minaj tells her Barbz (female fans) and Ken Barbz (male fans) that they should go after their dreams and never give up on them. She also asked her London-based fans to not wait for her again when “it’s too cold.”
