Nicole Kidman has revealed that she is recovering well after breaking her ankle a few weeks ago. The actress broke her ankle after she failed to notice a pothole while she was running around the neighborhood.
The 52-year-old actress suffered a “small break” in her ankle and sustained an injury. But she has now given an update on her injured ankle.
Taking to Instagram, the “Big Little Lies” actress expressed gratitude toward the fans who prayed for her good health. Kidman further stated that she is “back on the right track” and will be completely fine in the coming weeks.
“Thank you for all the well wishes and love. I am back on the right track… and almost back on the right foot,” Kidman wrote.
It was Kidman’s husband, Keith Urban, who revealed that the actress suffered an ankle injury while running. In an interview with The Project, Urban noted she rolled her ankle and has been relegated to the boot for weeks.
He also admitted that his wife was handling the situation much better than he would have.
“ I gotta say she has been handling it way better than I would have,” Urban said.
In the same interview, the “Fighter” hitmaker shared that he and the Academy Award-winning actress have extended family in Australia, and so they are are eager to safely travel there for a visit.
While they are waiting for that to happen, they have been isolating with their two daughters, 11-year-old Sunday and 9-year-old Faith, in their Nashville home.
Recently, Kidman joined the cast of “Big Little Lies” in sponsoring meals for all the healthcare professionals who are working tirelessly on the front lines. Other cast members who provided help for the good cause included Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, and Zoe Kravitz.
The esteemed actress shared a picture on the photo-sharing platform in which the doctors and nurses can be seen posing with their food packages.
“Thrilled at the chance to reunite with my #BigLittleLies cast for an amazing cause! Together with @FrontlineFoods, we’ve been able to sponsor meals for medical heroes in five cities. We’d also like to thank the local restaurants who have helped to prepare these wonderful meals,” Kidman wrote.
She also urged other people to help all of the frontline workers amid the pandemic.
