Nicole Kidman Reveals How Husband Keith Urban Reacts To Her Sex Scenes: 'He Understands It'

Nicole Kidman says she is quite comfortable performing sex scenes on camera, thanks to the support of her husband Keith Urban.

The 54-year-old actress explained to E! News' Daily Pop on Sunday that her "husband is an artist, so he understands all of it." Moreover, the 53-year-old singer doesn't get "involved."

"He sees the show at the very end when it's a show, all edited together, and he's fresh eyes," she said. "He doesn't read any script, he really doesn't know what's going on the set, he's got his own career that he's completely absorbed in."

The actress joked, "He doesn't know much about what I'm really doing."

Kidman got married to Urban in 2006. The couple has two kids – Faith Margaret and Sunday Rose. Kidman also shares two other kids – Isabella Jane and Connor – with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.

In an interview last year, Kidman spoke about balancing her work and personal life.

"We have a system worked out to keep the family together," she told WSJ. "When Keith's not touring, it's much easier. He'll be on tour next year, and then I just don't work as much. Literally, it will become imbalanced, and we will change it. We don't have the answers, but the one thing we do know is that we will not jeopardize us."

Urban also spoke about the couple's busy lifestyle in another interview.

"We live in different places between Nashville and London," he told Hello Magazine. So we're just used to not having a particular structure. It’s based on whether Nic's working, whether I'm working."

Kidman is currently filming her upcoming Apple TV+ series "Roar." Besides Kidman, the series also stars Cynthia Erivo, Merritt Wever and Alison Brie. Created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, "Roar" is based on Cecelia Ahern's short story collection of the same title.

Urban lent his voice to the animated movie "Back to the Outback," which is currently under post-production. He also serves as a coach on the singing show "The Voice."
