Nina Dobrev’s fans went crazy on Twitter when reports of the actress kissing Austin Stowell surfaced. Fans can’t help but speculate that the two are dating.

Fans excitedly took to Twitter on Monday after hearing news that Dobrev, former star of "The Vampire Diaries," was seen kissing the “Whiplash” during the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, reports Latin Post. The fans seemed very happy that their favorite star has found someone new, as evidenced by their reactions posted on social media.

The speculation began May 11, when Dobrev posted photobooth pictures of herself with Stowell and other friends on Instagram. Reports also indicate that it may have been Selena Gomez, one of Dobrev’s best friends, who introduced Stowell and Dobrev to one another. Gomez and Stowell worked together on two projects, starring alongside each other in the movies “Dubious Battle” and “Behaving Badly.”

This quashed rumors that there is tension growing between Gomez and Dobrev due to the latter allegedly dating Gomez’s rumored former boyfriend. Dobrev, who was born in Bulgaria, was linked to Russian-born music producer Zedd (Anton Zaslavski) after he posted a cozy selfie picture with the actress on Instagram and they exchanged cute messages with each other, states Sugarscape.

Dobrev has reportedly been single since her breakup with long-time boyfriend and "Diaries" co-star Ian Somerhalder. Earlier this month, Dobrev revealed to E! News that there’s no bad blood between the two of them. She stated that their breakup wasn’t because something bad happened or because there wasn’t love or friendship. "I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him. And that didn't change. Yes, we're professional and that's fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now."

She also shared how happy she is over her Somerhalder's recent wedding to "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed. "They look happy and I am happy and so I don't see why there should be a problem with that. The drama is in the media, it's not with us. But of course, we're on a teen drama show, everyone's going to look for drama. If there's no drama, there's nothing to write about. I just ignore it."
