Nokia 6 Sold Out: Nokia's Comeback Phone Sells Out In A Minute In Chinese Flash Sale

The Nokia 6 went on sale in China Thursday and was declared sold out within one minute by JD.com, the exclusive retailer for the device. The device is being sold in China for 1,699 Chinese Yuan (approximately $245).

The device received over 1 million registrations for the flash sale. JD.com has not revealed the exact number of units sold or when the next flash sale will take place.

Chinese website Anzhuo.cn reports that the device went on sale at 10:06 a.m. in China on Thursday at JD’s e-commerce site and was declared sold out at 10:07 a.m.

The Nokia 6 hasn’t been released in the U.S. market, and the company is yet to reveal if and when that's likely to happen.

With the Nokia 6, JD seems to have done well in the terms of pricing, since the device comes with specs such as 5.5-inch full HD display, a 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 430 CPU, an Adreno 505 CPU and 4GB RAM. But its standout specs include 64GB internal memory, a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megpixel front camera and Android 7.0 out-of-the-box.

Nokia is expected to reveal seven devices in 2017, including the Nokia P1 flagship device. The P1 is expected to be unveiled at MWC 2016 and is expected to come with specs such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a Gorilla Glass 5 protected 5.3-inch Sharp Aquos Xx3 2K display, 6GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, dual-speakers and a fingerprint sensor.

The device is expected to be priced at $950, with a 128GB variant costing $800.
