Not All Of The Duggars Want Kids, Cousin Amy Reveals Her Lack Of Baby Plans
Amy (Duggar) King is different than her famous cousins. The former “19 Kids and Counting” star has been married to her husband Dillon King for a year, but she says babies are not in their plans just yet.
In honor of their wedding anniversary on Sept. 6, the 29-year-old aspiring singer spoke to People about her marriage. While she and King are planning things for the future, like vacations, she revealed having children is not something they foresee happening anytime soon.
“Our first year has been really fun,” Amy told the magazine. “Our goals for next year are to travel the world and fall further in love with each other! Who knows? There might be some baby talk.”
Currently, Amy says they’re enjoying being married (she says she doesn’t miss the single life) and enjoying date nights in. “We’ve switched out from nights on the town to sweatpants and a movie for most of our Saturday nights,” she said.
Amy hasn’t made it in a secret in the past that she’s in no rush to have children. “On the honeymoon we were like, ‘Lord, please don’t let us have a honeymoon baby!’” Amy told People in February. "I’m the opposite of my family when it comes to that. I want to enjoy my husband without waking up in the middle of the night. We totally want that freedom.”
While Amy isn’t prepared to expand her brood just yet, her 22-year-old cousin Jinger Duggar already has babies on the brain. Just days after announcing her engagement to Jeremy Vuolo, her future husband share they are hoping to start a family after marrying. “We haven’t talked about size, but I know we both love children,” he said. Jinger added: “I’m excited for the future, when Jeremy and I are married, to start a family.”
