Jana Duggar Purchases A Tattoo Shop, Reveals Her Relationship Status In Tax Documents
From midwife to business owner, Jana Duggar wears many hats. The TLC “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” star has reportedly purchased a property in her home state of Arkansas.
Starcasm reports Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s eldest daughter because the proud owner of a former tattoo shop about 10 miles outside of her family’s home in Springdale in April. Records show the 26-year-old paid $95,000 for the commercial property, which served as Phoenix Rising Tattoos and Body Piercing for a decade. Jana has not yet shared what she plans to do with the building.
Not only has Jana’s latest career move been revealed, the tax paperwork for the property also listed her relationship status. As most “Counting On” fans are aware, Jana has not yet entered into a courtship and the real estate transfer tax stamp makes sure to list she’s single. A screenshot of the file shows Jana Marie Duggar is listed as “an unmarried person.”
Unlike several of Jana's sisters who are married or courting, Jana has made it clear she isn’t in a rush to tie the knot. In March, she opened up about her status on “Counting On,” saying she isn’t going to “marry the first one that comes along.” She also shared her life plans in the Season 1 episode, saying she likes to spend her free time learning as much as she can. Viewers most recently saw her attending a survival camping school in Season 2 in an earlier episode, she helped build an elaborate tree house for her younger siblings.
Jana does have some schooling under her belt. She and her sister Jill Dillard participated in a midwifery apprenticeship in 2013, some of which was captured by TLC’s cameras. Jana was rumored to be continuing her education last year, but she never addressed claims she was planning to attend a Christian college.
Duggars fans can catch up with Jana (and hopefully learn what she’s planning to do with that tattoo shop!) on “Counting On” Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
