Jinger Duggar Discusses Her Courtship Rules (Or Lack Thereof) In ‘Counting On’ Clip

If you thought all Duggar courtship were the same, think again! In a sneak preview of Tuesday’s “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” Jinger Duggar opens up about the guidelines (or lack thereof) she’s following in her courtship with Jeremy Vuolo.

The Season 2, episode 2 clip starts with Jinger and Jeremy visiting Jessa and Ben Seewald’s home and announcing they’re officially courting. When Ben, Jinger’s brother-in-law, asks if the couple has figured out their courtship guidelines, Jeremy shares that they have.

“I have a desire to save really the physical for marriage,” the 28-year-old pastor says as Jinger, 22, nods in agreeance. “I think we both understand that there are temptations and if we open a lot of doors physically then the time spent together basically becomes a time of saying, ‘OK we can’t cross this line’ or ‘We can’t cross this line’, and it becomes difficult.”

While side hugs are typically the norm in Duggar courtships, Jinger reveals she’s isn’t sticking to a particular playbook for their relationship. “I think it’s different for each person. It’s not a cookie cutter,” she says. “Just praying about those things and not necessarily, you don’t have to have it all listed as a set of rules, but just a general idea and letting the people around you know.”

Despite Jeremy revealing he’s familiar with the courtship process in the clip, calling it a big and “exciting next step,” the couple will seek advice from Jinger’s older sister Jill Dillard and her husband Derick. TLC’s synopsis for episode 2 shares viewers will see the couple seek “courtship advice” from the married pair and Jeremy share his “first meal” with the Duggar family.

Elsewhere in Tuesday’s installment, the eldest Duggars will take a wilderness survival training course and Ben and Jessa will talk about his plan for youth outreach.
