'Not My Georgia' Say Thousands About Tough Immigration Law
Thousands of people rallied in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, in protest of the state's new law which aims to clamp down on illegal immigration.
This is Not My Georgia, read some banners in the crowd, which police estimated was up to 15,000 people strong.
On participant, Myra Cerecero, a U.S. born 18-year old whose parents are both illegal immigrants, says she is constantly fearing that her parents will be picked up, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
If they deport their parents then who are going to have to take care of us? We can't take care of ourselves, protester Hector Badillo told WSBTV.
The new law says businesses must check an employee's ability to work and makes it a felony to falsify work documents.
