Lowe’s (LOW) is looking to hire more than 53,000 full-time, part-time, and seasonal workers this spring at its more than 1,700 stores in the U.S. The need for workers at the home improvement chain comes as it enters its busy season and looks to grow its workforce to meet the customer demand in the springtime.

Lowe’s said it will have hiring events at all of its stores over the next three months with Florida, Southern California, Hawaii, and parts of Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Alabama, and Georgia seeing the first walk-in hiring events.

The first of the hiring events will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., where on-the-spot jobs will be offered to accepted candidates. Additional hiring events will be held on Jan. 15, Feb. 5, Feb. 19, and March 4. A list of hiring events can be found here.

“Spring is the busiest season for home improvement projects and a great time to launch a new career at Lowe’s,” Jennifer Weber, Lowe’s executive vice president, human resources said. “As part of our strategy to better serve customers and operate our stores more efficiently, these hiring events will help us build the right teams at the right times across the U.S. to meet customer demand as they plan for spring.”

Lowe’s said it will be hiring seasonal workers for cashier, lawn and garden associate, stocker, and loader positions. Employees of Lowe’s, including seasonal workers, are eligible for the company’s quarterly bonus program, as well as competitive pay and a 10% employee discount.

As many as 50% of Lowe’s seasonal employees were made permanent workers in 2019. Seasonal employees typically work throughout spring into the summer months.

Lowe’s also said full- and part-time positions are available, including department supervisors, cashiers, stockers, sales specialist, pro customer service associates, and merchandise service associates.

As a full- or part-time employee at Lowe’s, health and wellness benefits are provided as well as incentive programs, 401(k), discounted stock purchase plan, tuition reimbursement, and paid volunteer time. The retailer also offers a company-funded certification program for trade careers.

Shares of Lowe's stock were down 0.76% as of 10:12 a.m. EST on Friday.
