NUTMobile Drivers Wanted: You’d Be ‘Nuts’ Not To Apply For This Job
Looking to get out of your home office for the next year? Planters is hiring drivers for its NUTMobile, and the position could be yours if you apply now.
The company is looking for a team of nine drivers to travel with Mr. Peanut in the Planters’ NUTMobile in what the company said will bring “substance and snacks to fans all over the country.”
Planters made the announcement via its mascot, Mr. Peanut’s social media account, saying, “This is nut a drill.”
To apply for the job, eligible job seekers must enlist for the role by Friday at 11:59 p.m. at www.plantersnutmobile.com
Details of the job include driving the 26 feet long NUTMobile that was designed to look like a giant peanut. Drivers will also take on the role of Planters brand ambassador donning the title “Peanutter.”
Drivers will be trained on how to drive and park the NUTMobile that weighs in at 13,000 pounds. Peanutters will also be responsible for social media, sharing their experiences on Twitter and Instagram, where they will appear in parades and at sporting events as they make their way around the country.
Job duties will also include knowing everything about Mr. Peanut and Planters to engage with fans they meet in their travels, which will be learned during a Peanut Prep lesson prior to departure. Peanutters will also make radio and television appearances, perform newspaper interviews, visit grocery stores, military sites, and sport and charity functions.
Peanutters will be paid for the full-time job at Planters, which will last one year.
To qualify for the coveted position, job candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a background in communications.
