Oddsmakers Weigh In Chances Of Colin Kaepernick Getting Signed By NFL Teams

Colin Kaepernick continues to show that he can still play with the big boys in the NFL.

Most know by now that signing with the Seattle Seahawks could make sense for the controversial quarterback. But then again, there are other teams such as the Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens who could use the former San Francisco 49er if they are willing to take the chance.

With nothing official as of this writing, the odds of Kaepernick getting signed have fallen into the hands of bookies.

In the betting odds released by Bookies.com, the chances of the 34-year-old signing with certain teams have been suggested.

According to Adam Thompson of Bookies.com, the Seahawks are unsurprisingly the favorites to land Kaepernick with a +650.

However, what could be surprising is the suggestion that Kaepernick could sign with the Panthers and Ravens.

The native of Wisconsin is given a +750 chance of hooking up with the Ravens, while the Panthers are at +800.

As far as Kaepernick is concerned, all he wants is a chance to play NFL ball and prove that he can still be of use.

There are questions in the air since he has not played professional football since 2016, but he feels otherwise.

“A lot of what we’ve heard is, ‘Oh, you haven’t played in five years. Can you still play?’ I wanted to come out. That’s part of the reason why we’ve been doing all the workouts publicly, releasing them publicly. Coach Harbaugh, Michigan, the Wolverines against Racism allowed this to happen today, so I’m grateful that this is an opportunity that can lead to that next step, and hopefully crack that door open so I can run through it,” Kaepernick was quoted saying when he was asked on what he was looking for in an NFL team.

For now, Kaepernick will have to wait and see if his efforts of showcasing his workouts will bear fruit.
