One Direction's Louis Tomlinson Breaks Up With Longtime Girlfriend, Spotted Kissing Mysterious Brunette

One Direction member Louis Tomlinson is officially back on the market. The singer confirmed he is no longer dating longtime girlfriend Eleanor Calder.

“Louis and Eleanor split up two weeks ago,” a representative told People. “They have not announced this as they wanted some privacy during this time.”

Tomlinson, 23, had been seeing Calder, 22, since fall 2011. Distance may have played a part in the breakup. Calder has been living in Manchester, England, while Tomlinson has been touring the world with his boy band.

"They tried really hard to make it work but it was just impossible, he's away for nine months a year and they just grew apart,” a source told People.

Dating a teenage heartthrob wasn't necessarily easy for Calder. The college student received many death threats on Twitter when she first started dating Tomlinson, the Mirror reported. In addition to death threats, fans would also send her pictures of Tomlinson’s ex-girlfriend, Hannah Walker.

Tomlinson may not be the only newly single member of One Direction. Zayn Malik, 22, is rumored to have broken up with Perrie Edwards, 21, a member of girl group Little Mix. Around the same time he announced he was leaving One Direction’s tour due to stress, he was photographed with another girl, Lauren Richardson.

The singer did not take kindly to the rumors. He went on Twitter to clear the air and assure the world he only had eyes for Edwards. “I'm 22 years old. ... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous f----- in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x,” he tweeted.

While Malik isn’t looking to move on, Tomlinson seems to have already found someone new. The Sun caught him kissing an unidentified woman in Thailand.

The singer has yet to comment on those photos, so this mystery woman will remain anonymous for now.
