'One Piece' 1019 Raw Scans Reveal Why Yamato Has Not Yet Set Out To Sea

"One Piece" 1019 raw scans reveal a lot of interesting things about Yamato, including the reason behind his decision not to set out to sea just yet, his devil fruit and his hybrid form.

Fans eagerly waiting for the official release of "One Piece" 1019 can have a peek at the upcoming chapter, thanks to the new set of raw scans and summary courtesy of Redon and other insiders in the community. The scans provide fans with the first look at Yamato's beautiful hybrid form.

It turns out, Kaido's son has a pair of long pointed ears and a couple of horns on his forehead. His body appears to be covered with hair, just like Carrot when she transforms into her Sulong form. Moreover, his hands are bigger and look like claws. His legs also appear like those of an animal.

Interestingly, fire engulfs Yamato's body and hair. According to Redon, it is the same as the smoke that fans see around Luffy's body when he uses his Gear 4 form. Fire also comes out of Yamato's elbows and knees. As for his face, he has a snout and sharp teeth.

So far, there is no official name for Yamato's hybrid form yet. Some fans believe it is the Byakko model or Kirin model.

Before Yamato's transformation happened, Kaido talked to him. Apparently, the governor-general of the Animal Kingdom acknowledged his son's strength.

Fans will also learn in "One Piece" 1019 that Kaido never planned to give the Akuma no Mi to Yamato. According to Yamato, he ate the devil fruit because he was hungry at that time. He also told his father that he really wanted to go to the sea. However, because he consumed the devil fruit, he could no longer swim.

Another reason why he has not pursued his dream yet is that Kaido put exploding handcuffs on both of his wrists. These cuffs will explode once he sets foot outside Wano Kuni. However, it looks like the ultimate reason why Yamato has not yet set sail is that he wants to fight for Wano.

In the "leaked One Piece" 1019 summary, he tells Kaido, "If I don't fight for this country, I have no right to call myself Oden."

Meanwhile, the upcoming chapter will also offer updates on the fight between Sanji and Queen the Floor. The spoilers also mention that Sanji thinks Franky would want to know about the technology Queen uses.

Fans will also get updates on Zoro's condition in "One Piece" 1019. It appears the Minks will have to stab him so hard to get through the bandages set by Sanji. The spoilers reveal that Zoro freaks out and fans think this could be because he is afraid of needles or injections.

As for Luffy, he seems to be doing well after Law's crew found him. They pump water out of the Straw Hats' captain and are wondering what medicine to give him. However, before they are able to do so, Luffy shouts "meat!" Following his tough battle with Kaido, Luffy is obviously hungry.

"One Piece" 1019 is set to release Sunday.
