'One Piece' 1058 Spoilers: Straw Hats' New Journey Might Allow Them To Meet The 'Lurking Legend'

The early spoilers for "One Piece" 1058 are not yet available but with the conclusion of the Wano arc, the fandom wonders if the Straw Hats, or at least Luffy has already met the Lurking Legend" or if the crew's new adventure in an unannounced island will allow them to finally meet this mysterious figure.

The only spoiler available for "One Piece" 1058 is the chapter preview shared on Twitter by user Epicopboy, which asked about the kind of path that Luffy and his crew will take in a distressed world. The tweet, shared over the weekend, featured Gear 5 Luffy with the text written in Japanese and roughly translated to, "The world is in turmoil, What path will Luffy and his friends take."

Chapter previews usually do not offer a lot about the upcoming manga installment but instead hype readers about the chapter's arrival. Interestingly, what makes the chapter more exciting is that it is the first adventure of the Straw Hats after the Wano arc ended, which means they are going to a new place and starting a new arc.

Many fans, particularly those who subscribed to interviews, remembered that in one of his previous interviews, Legendary mangaka and "One Piece" creator Eiichiro Oda mentioned introducing a legend, "which lurks in One Piece world." Oda further described the character as "the greatest enemy ever for Straw Hats," who will "hinder their way."

The mangaka also teased in the interview that the character might be related to Whitebeard. If Oda was referring to this happening in the Wano arc, several candidates fit his description. However, none of these "lurking legends" tried to block Luffy and his crew's path.

Zuneisha is a lurking legend but the gigantic elephant is connected to Joyboy and not to Whitebeard. Kaido is a lurking legend and so is Big Mom, but while both are connected to Whitebeard, in the end, they were defeated by the alliance.

Some wild theories online claimed it could be Shiki, Enel and even Monkey D. Dragon, Luffy's father, but none showed up in the arc or at its conclusion. Others believe it's Nika, Luffy's ultimate transformation, which according to theories, might, at one point turn against the Straw Hats' captain and his crew.

At this point, no one knows who or what Oda was referring to when he shared about this legend lurking in the "One Piece" world, but whoever, or whatever it is, it's interesting that fans have something to look forward to in the series aside from the Straw Hats finding the "One Piece."

"One Piece" 1058 is set to release Sunday. Spoilers would most likely surface online sometime between Wednesday and Thursday while summary and raw scans might appear between Thursday and Saturday.
