'One Piece' Episode 978 Spoilers, Promo, Release Date Out

Luffy, Law and Kid are striving to become the new conqueror of the sea in "One Piece" Episode 978. The new episode is titled "The Worst Generation Charges In! The Battle of Stormy Sea!"

The official preview trailer for "One Piece" Episode 978 is out teasing the arrival of the pirates of the worst generation. Luffy, Law and Kid compete with each other and go after Kaido.

They challenge Kaido's massive fleet with their impressive techniques. Soon, a fierce battle begins and no one can stop them.

In the previous episode, Kozuki Oden's retainers gather after 20 years to avenge their lord. They have assembled at the Tokage port to kick start a battle against Kaido. The enemy has 30,000 soldiers and the retainers need help to fight them. They desperately call for Luffy, Hyogoro and the other allies. But none of the 4,200 troops have arrived to help Oden’s retainers. They decide to board a small boat and brave the angry sea and sail toward Kaido.

They know they won't get this chance again for a year or so. However, the retainers are betrayed and Kaido's warriors attack them. They also take Kozuki Momonosuke hostage.

Toward the end of the episode, the pirates arrive to help the retainers fight against Kaido's fleet.

"The Straw Hats and thousands of allies who were supposed to be there are nowhere to be found, but Kin’emon and the others decide to set sail to the stormy sea in a small boat. Kaido's army that appears out of nowhere and a betrayal drive the Akazaya members into a corner,” read the synopsis for Episode 977, according to Crunchyroll.

Luffy, Kazuya Nakai as Roronoa Zoro, Kappei Yamaguchi as Usopp, Hiroaki Hirata as Sanji, Kazuki Yao as Franky, Chikao Otsuka as Gol D.
