ONE On Prime Video 6 Gets Fresh Faces After Flurry Of Changes Across Lineup

ONE Championship is set to welcome the new year with a bang as the promotion will be holding ONE on Prime Video 6 on Friday, January 13.

However, there have been some changes to the fight card

Former two-division ONE king Aung La N Sang will kick off his 2023 campaign at ONE on Prime Video 6 as he faces Brazil's Gilberto Galvao.

The bout is set for a catchweight of 215 pounds–well between the light heavyweight and middleweight divisions that "The Burmese Python" has dominated in the past.

In mid-December, it was announced that Aung La N Sang would be playing the role of gatekeeper on the main card as he was originally scheduled to take on Chinese prospect Fan Rong in a middleweight matchup.

But for reasons yet to be made public, Fan was removed from the card in favor of the heavy-hitting Galvao instead, who last fought Reinier de Ridder in June 2019 and ended up losing the fight by stoppage.

Also getting a new matchup at the event is ONE flyweight submission grappling champ Mikey Musumeci.

"Darth Rigatoni" will now defend his title for the first time ever against Mongolia's Gantumur Bayanduuren after his original opponent Sayan Khertek was forced to withdraw from the bout due to injury.

Bayanduuren had won gold at the 2022 Sambo World Championships in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, defeating Uzbekistan's Lutfilla Saydamatov in the 58-kilogram combat division.

Ilias Ennahachi, the ONE flyweight kickboxing champion, will no longer be defending his title against Superlek Kiatmoo9 and has since been replaced by Daniel Puertas.

ONE Championship revealed that Ennahachi has been forced to vacate the title because he was unable to "make the flyweight limit of 135 pounds while hydrated"–opening the door for the winner between Puertas and Superlek to take home the ONE flyweight kickboxing title.

Also on the main card is Garry Tonon vs. Johnny Nunez, Rodtang Jitmuangnon against Jiduo Yibu, and the hybrid mixed martial arts–Muay Thai scrap between Stamp Fairtex and Anissa Meksen.

The card will still be headlined by Chingiz Allazov's pursuit of Superbon Singha Mawynn's ONE featherweight kickboxing title.

Bouts between Kim Jae Woong and Shoko Sato, as well as the highly-anticipated rematch between Anna Jaroonsak and Ekaterina Vandaryeva will also take place on the card.

ONE on Prime Video 6 will happen at 8:00 PM ET on Friday, January 13 (9:00 AM SGT on Saturday, January 14 for fans in Asia) inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
