'Only Murders In The Building' Season 3: Here's Everything Viewers Can Except
The co-creator of "Only Murders In The Building," John Hoffman, has teased fans with what to expect next after the season 2 finale dropped Tuesday on Hulu.
The series features Steve Martin, who portrays Charles-Haden Savage, Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora and Martin Short, who plays Oliver Putnam.
"In Season 3, we're obviously making a leap into the theater, and around Oliver being a little bit more central in the emotional arc," Hoffman told Variety on Tuesday. "It's his Broadway return, and that tethers out for all of them into a question of success."
Hoffman went on to share that season 3 is going to answer questions like "are these three people cursed to forever have death around them?" The co-creator added, "And we're just four weeks into our writers' room for Season 3, but there are lovely romantic possibilities happening that ask certain questions."
"Only Murders In The Building" season 2 final episode left many hints for the viewers as to what they can expect in the upcoming season, including an appearance by Paul Rudd.
Hoffman disclosed that Rudd, who appeared in the second season as Ben Glenroy's character, will appear again in the third season.
"I mean, come on. It's so crazy, isn't it? It doesn't end there. I will say that," Hoffman said before disclosing the actor has already agreed to return for the next season. "We're very excited about keeping him rolling into Season 3."
Aside from Rudd, the second season of the show also featured Anne Stringfield, Amy Schumer, Ade Otukoya, Michael Rapaport, Cara Delevingne and Aaron Dominguez.
The first season of the show was dropped in August 2021, and the success of it led to another season. The second season's first episode was dropped on June 28 and the finale was released Tuesday.
"Only Murders in the Building" is a mystery crime drama that features three people who love to know about real life crime and when they come across one in their own building, they go on a mission to solve it.
