Operation American Spring Live Stream: Watch Washington Protesters Demand Obama Resign [VIDEO]

Operation American Spring, a grassroots movement of self-described patriots who say they want to restore constitutional government and depose “tyrannical federal leadership,” ranging from President Barack Obama to House Speaker John Boehner, continued to protest in Washington, D.C., on Monday in an attempt to further their goals.

Operation American Spring began Friday and said it would continue with protests in Washington "until our demands are met." The group’s website says that “out-of-control government leadership must be stopped,” and suggested that 1 to 2 million would be involved in Monday’s demonstrations, although live coverage of the event appears to show far fewer participants.

“We are past the point of no return, thus must move forward with an effort to save our nation, as there is no other choice,” Harry Riley, a retired army colonel and leader of Operation American Spring, wrote. “We are asking, pleading with you, and any others that have resources, national voices, email lists, blogs, FB, Twitter, to call for a non-violent American Spring May 16 2014 in Washington D.C. We must appeal to ten million and more American patriots to come and stay in Washington, D.C. to stop the White House and Congress from total destruction of the United States. It's now or never. God help us.”

Riley said the operation “will be a gigantic step in removing the flea infestation that is sucking the blood out of America.” The movement wants the ouster of both Democratic and Republican political leaders, including Obama, Boehner, Vice President Joe Biden, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Attorney General Eric Holder.

The group claimed those politicians “ignore the Constitution and are showing a trend away from the key objectives of Americans as put forth by our founders.” Operation American Spring demanded that the government leaders step down to allow “an orderly appointment of leadership replacements under the authority of the United States Constitution.”

“We see no reasonable, hopeful sign that indicates there are honorable, loyal, mature, critical thinking, experienced people in government that understands the chaos about to rain down on America, nor do they care....our only hope is that ‘we the people’ call, organize, and draw a few million patriots to stay in D.C. for an ‘American Spring,’ the group says. “It would be the catalyst to draw the line and bring to a conclusion a decision on the out of control government, one way or the other. America will rise up or surrender.........for me, I only go to my knees in the presence of God Almighty...........my knees will not touch the surface as a result of some piss ant occupant of the White House or a corrupt legislator, or outside element...I will fall to my death standing if necessary.”

The group urged military veterans and “patriots” to participate in Operation American Spring.

A publicist for the group said none of the movement’s participants have been arrested as of early Monday afternoon. “We’ve created no disturbances,” she said, adding that the march on Washington is “God’s work.”
