Jenji Kohan's prison dramedy was renewed for a third season of 13 episodes a full month before Season 2 began streaming on Netflix June 6. The official Twitter account for “OITNB” added that the ladies of Litchfield are rolling up their sleeves to get down and even dirtier in the third installment of the original Netflix series.

“On the eve of Orange Is the New Black Season 2, the cast are hard at work back on the set of #OITNB Season 3. How freaking cool is that?” a tweet teased. “OITNB” has generated strong digital buzz, according to Variety.

We know that Laura Prepon’s character, Alex Vause, will appear in all 13 episodes next season, which warmed the hearts of fans after her minimal appearance in the sophomore season. Dascha Polanco, who plays the pregnant Daya, was also promoted to series regular.

Several new characters have been added to Season 3, including veteran actress Mary Steenburgen, who will portray someone's mother in the season's first episode. Can you guess who? We'll give you a hint: He's got a "pornstache."
