Orlando Bloom Grabs Lunch Solo Amid Katy Perry ‘Shotgun Wedding’ Rumors
Orlando Bloom turned heads when he showed up at an LA restaurant without Katy Perry following rumors that the two are having a “shotgun wedding” because the singer is purportedly pregnant.
On Wednesday, the “Lord of the Rings” star was photographed as he was heading to a restaurant in Brentwood, LA. Bloom was seen driving a bike and carrying a drawstring bag in the photos shared by Daily Mail.
Upon reaching his destination, he parked his bike and took off the skiing goggles he used for head protection that day instead of a helmet with visor. It was also found out that the drawstring bag contained his pet dog, Mighty. So, technically, he wasn’t alone when he grabbed lunch at an eatery.
For the outing, the Hollywood actor rocked a classic bomber jacket, denim jeans and black sneakers. He also wore black gloves while driving, but he removed them when he and his dog entered the restaurant.
Bloom’s solo outing comes days after supermarket tabloid National Enquirer reported that he and Perry are having a “shotgun wedding” because the “Roar” hitmaker already has a bun in the oven.
A questionable source for the outlet claimed that Orlando and Katy “have a secret plan to swap vows” and that the actor has been dropping clues about his desire to settle down with the “American Idol” judge and start a family.
However, the report was quickly debunked by fact-checking website Gossip Cop. According to the outlet, the report was completely fabricated based on the inconsistencies it contained. For one, the tabloid claimed that Perry was blown away by Bloom’s “beach proposal.” However, Katy herself said that her beau proposed on a helicopter one night after a dinner date.
The idea that Perry is pregnant was also slammed because the singer has been drinking alcohol lately. In fact, she admitted that she’s “so hungover” during her guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night talk show last week.
Orlando and Katy met for the first time at a Golden Globes after-party in January 2016. Sources said that they started flirting that night and that they had “undeniable chemistry.” Three months later, the pair looked very much in love when they were spotted kissing at the Coachella Music Festival.
In May 2016, Perry made their romance official on Instagram when she shared their first couple photos on the platform. In February 2017, the couple shocked their fans when they announced in a joint statement that they have broken up. But in August that same year, they were once again spotted together at an Adele concert, according to Elle.
Last year, the two appeared to have rekindled their romance when they visited Prague together in March and headed to the Vatican a month after. Perry confirmed that she’s officially off the market on May 21, 2018. Then just last month, the “Swish Swish” songstress announced their engagement on social media a day after Valentine’s Day.
