The 2021 Oscar ceremony and the red carpet were not hectic events this year due to the pandemic. Actress Nicole Kidman was among those who did not attend the glamorous Hollywood night, but was glued to the television.

The 53-year-old American-Australian actress took to Instagram on Sunday to share a picture of herself enjoying Oscars 2021 from her hotel room. She wore a casual white top with blue jeans and seemed to have a messy hair day.

"Sitting crossed legged on the floor watching the #Oscars..." she captioned. "Been doing this since I was a little girl."

Kidman won an Oscar in 2003 for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf's character in "The Hours" movie starring Meryl Streep and Julianne Moore.

Besides sharing her love for Academy Awards, she also shared the first look of her upcoming Hulu miniseries, "Nine Perfect Strangers" on Instagram on Sunday.

"Celebrating #Oscars night with a first look at #NinePerfectStrangers, coming soon to @hulu," she captioned. "We can’t wait to share it with you. Sending love to all the nominees tonight!"

The series is based on author Liane Moriarty's "Nine Perfect Strangers," which was published on Sept.18, 2018. Moriarty had previously written the bestselling novel, "Big Little Lies," which was later turned into a drama series for Hulu with the same name.

David E. Kelley will serve as showrunner for the upcoming thriller drama, and the cast members include Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall and Samara Weaving.

Kelley will also write the series with John Henry Butterworth and Samantha Strauss. The Hulu series will be helmed by Jonathan Levine. The upcoming series is slated to release later this year.

Besides "Nine Perfect Strangers," the actress will also star in "Pretty Things," which is based on Janelle Brown's novel with the same name. The thriller series will stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Kidman will also star in a family drama series on Amazon Prime Video, "Things I Know To Be True," which is based on the Australian play of the same name. Unlike other series, the creators of "Things I Know To Be True" are planning to work on multiple seasons for the series.

The actress was last seen in the mystery psychological thriller miniseries, "The Undoing," which was released in 2020.
