‘Outlander’ Season 3 Spoilers: Shocking Moments From Episode 10
“Outlander” Season 3, episode 10 kept the surprises coming. After separating Jamie and Claire last week, the Starz drama showed the two fighting to reunite. Of course, there were quite a few shocking moments as they fought to make their way back to each other.
Fergus Refuses to Help Jamie — Jamie (Sam Heughan) tried to convince the sailors to go after Claire’s (Caitriona Balfe) ship, but instead, he gets put into a cell below deck. Fergus (César Domboy) turns down Jamie’s request to break him out. He’s scared of the consequences, and Jamie thinks that’s a clear sign that the young man doesn’t understand love.
Jamie’s Been Discovered — Claire finds a note in the captain’s records from a man named Harry Tompkins (Ian Reddington) accusing Jamie of going under the alias Alexander Malcolm. She confronts Harry, who is the man Young Ian burned in the print shop fire. He tells Claire to kill him and put him out of his misery. Instead, she locks him in a cell below deck.
Jamie’s Wanted for Murder — It isn’t just treason on Jamie’s arrest warrants anymore. Jamie is wanted for murder. The body was found in the crème de menthe. When she goes to meet him in Kingston, Jamie will be hanged.
Elias Dies — Elias Pound (Albie Marber) helped Claire treat typhoid fever patients throughout this “Outlander” episode. The 14-year-old was so enthusiastic that Claire didn’t notice he was getting sick. She finds him on his deathbed one morning and helps lay him to rest at sea.
Annekje Helps Claire — Annekje (Chanelle de Jager) doesn’t speak much English, but it seems she understood exactly what Claire meant when she expressed her worry for Jamie. Annekje simply said her goats would need grass. She meant that she could get the ship to stop sooner than planned. Unfortunately, the naval officers find her and bring her back to the ship before she can escape.
Marsali Saves Jamie — Fergus has given Marsali (Lauren Lyle) his word that he won’t abandon her, and Marsali knows that he won’t go back on his word. He’s the same as Jamie in that way. She is the one who convinces Captain Raines (Richard Dillane) that Jamie won’t rebel if he gives his word.
Claire Jumps — Annekje has heard rumors that Jamie will be hanged. She helps Claire with a makeshift raft and helps her jump overboard in the middle of the night.
Will jumping overboard go well for Claire? Fans will have to tune in next week to find out. “Outlander” Season 3 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on Starz.
