‘Outlander’ Season 4 Spoilers: Episode 8 Synopsis, Videos And Photos Released

After a week without them, “Outlander” will bring back Jamie and Claire in Season 4, episode 8. The couple will spend a night at the theater with no idea that Brianna and Roger are in North Carolina too.

“Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) attend the theater with Governor Tryon (Tim Downie), at his request, and discover a plot against the Regulators that tests Jamie’s loyalty to Tryon,” the synopsis teases.

It’ll be quite an eventful night on the Starz TV show. Claire will recognize a very important person at the theater, and there will be a medical emergency. The latter will help Jamie. In the promo video for episode 8, titled “Wilmington,” Jamie says he needs to go warn Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) that Tryon is plotting against the Regulators. Claire will try to buy him time, but he’ll need to find a creative way to get the message to his friend.

Before they head to the theater, however, they’ll drop by for a quick visit with Fergus (Cesar Domboy) and Marsali (Lauren Lyle). The young “Outlander” couple has had a baby since viewers last saw them.

Elsewhere in 1769, Brianna (Sophie Skelton) will be looking for her mother, not realizing that Roger (Richard Rankin) is searching for her. It won’t be long before they find each other, though. Fans can check out a sneak-peek video of their reunion at Entertainment Weekly.

“Roger’s diligent search for Brianna pays off when he finds her in Wilmington, but their romantic reunion comes to an abrupt halt when she discovers pertinent information that he intentionally kept from her,” the summary hints.

Fans know that Roger discovered the obituary that claims Brianna’s parents die in a fire. She had to find out on her own, and she’ll be livid when she learns Roger intentionally kept that information from her.

Unfortunately, the trailer for Sunday’s “Outlander” also reveals she’ll run into someone else: Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers). She’ll recognize her mother’s wedding ring, and nothing good can come of that realization.
