Paris Attacks: Eiffel Tower Area Reportedly Evacuated As Armed Police Swarm Pullman Hotel In False Alarm
Heavily armed French police entered the Pullman Hotel in Paris, near the Eiffel Tower, Saturday evening for what was apparently a false alarm, Reuters reported, citing a French Interior Ministry spokesman. The surrounding area in the 7th Arrondissement was reportedly evacuated, and guests were told to remain in their rooms while police entered the building.
Additional reports said the Champs de Mars subway station in central Paris was closed by police, citing the station announcer. But a Fox field producer from Miami, Heather Lacy, said on Twitter that she is at the hotel and police have given an all-clear.
