Hulu The Path coming back

“The Path” isn’t over yet! On the day of the Season 2 finale’s release, Hulu decided to let fans know that the drama will be back for another season.

The streaming platform, which also recently renewed “The Mindy Project,” announced Wednesday that “The Path” Season 3 officially has the green light. The next season will consist of 13 episodes again, and Jessica Goldberg will return as showrunner along with Jason Katims and Michelle Lee as executive producers.

“The Path” stars Aaron Paul, Michelle Monaghan and Hugh Dancy. It follows a family who are involved in Meyerism, a controversial cult. The family struggles with their faith in the movement, and that leads to trouble in their relationships.

Monaghan reacted to the renewal news on Twitter. The actress, who plays Sarah, noted that she is excited to see what plot twists Goldberg has in store for her.

Meanwhile, Aaron Paul, who plays Eddie, sounded just as elated to be coming back. He thanked “The Path” fans for all of their support.

“I am also very pleased to announce that we are coming back for a third season,” the “Breaking Bad” alum wrote on Instagram. “I can’t begin to tell you the feeling I have for all of the people involved. We are such a fun family of misfits telling such an intense story we all believe in with our whole heart. Thanks for the love and support of this show. It’s because of all of you that we are coming back to continue to tell this tale. Much love.”

“The Path” Season 3 will premiere on Hulu in 2018.
