Patrick J. Adams is missing his on-screen partner Meghan Markle, but he is afraid to contact the duchess and break “whatever wall exists” between them.

Adams and Markle played an on-screen couple on the hit legal drama series "Suits." They became good friends that Markle even invited Adams and his wife, Troian Bellisario, to her royal wedding with Prince Harry. However, they no longer communicate like before.

"I’m very, very happy that she's becoming very vocal and doing whatever she can to help the election in November," Adams was quoted by People, as saying.

"I miss my friend, but I'm very happy she's doing well.”

Adams admitted that something is holding him back from communicating with Markle. He said he felt "intimidated" probably because Markle's husband is part of the royal family and she has since become a duchess.

"Quite frankly, I think I'm intimidated," he said.

"I have no doubt I could pick up the phone and call her at any moment, but I don't know what I would say."

Although they do not often communicate, Adams said they contacted each other when their kids were born.

"After our children were born, there were some texts sent and gifts sent, but I guess I'm a little scared. I think it's pure fear. I guess I'm scared about the idea of breaking through whatever walls exist to have that conversation," he added.

Prince Harry and Markle welcomed their son Archie in May 2019. When Adams learned that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's bundle of joy had arrived, he sent them a sweet message on Twitter.

"Just heard that the world just got heavier by 7 pounds and 3 ounces. Much love to him and his incredible parents. Learned first hand 7 months ago how transformational becoming a parent is and couldn’t be happier for Meghan and Harry as they begin this adventure. #playdatesoon," he tweeted.

At present, Prince Harry and Markle are living in their mansion in Montecito in California with their son, Archie. According to the duchess, their little one is “all over the place” and he keeps them on their toes.
