Prince Harry Furious When Royal Family Tried To Intervene In Meghan Markle Wedding Plans, Book Says

Prince Harry allegedly got furious when his older brother Prince William meddled with his plans to marry Meghan Markle less than two years after they met. The younger royal wasn't happy especially when the Duke of Cambridge involved Princess Diana's brother, their uncle Charles Spencer, according to a new book.

Royal biographer Robert Lacey released a new book entitled "Battle of the Brothers: William and Harry – The Inside Story of a Family in Tumult." In it, the author detailed the falling-out between Prince Charles and Princess Diana's two sons, who were very close growing up.

Lacey serialized the book on Daily Mail where he revealed that the younger royal was not happy with Prince William advising him to slow down with his marriage plans. The Duke of Cambridge did all he could and eventually decided to ask the help of their uncle. Prince William's move wasn't surprising because he himself waited for almost a decade before he proposed to Kate Middleton.

Uncle Charles played something of an honorary godfather to both boys following Princess Diana's death. He agreed with Prince William and talked to Prince Harry, according to Lacey.

However, their uncle's intervention only infuriated Prince Harry. It resulted in a "bitter explosion" and Prince Harry refused to slow things down after that.

"He didn't blame his uncle. He understood why Diana's brother should want to help. Yet he was furious with his elder brother for dragging other family members into the row," Lacey wrote.

Prior to Lacey's book, The Sun's royal correspondent Emily Andrews also reported the same narrative. According to her, there was a falling-out between the two princes because of Prince Harry's romance with the former "Suits" star.

Prince William and Prince Harry reportedly had a heart-to-heart talk after Markle visited Kensington Palace. The future king told his younger brother to not rush things because he didn't know much about Markle's background at the time, but Prince Harry "went mental."

"He accused his brother of trying to finish his romance before it had begun. The brothers’ relationship has not really recovered," a source told Andrews.

"A lot of people in the family objected. Who really knows what the concerns were? Was it Meghan’s background? Her father and dreadful half-sister? Because she was an outspoken American? Divorced? Harry stood up for Meghan very forcibly. He really loves her.”

Earlier this year, Prince Harry and Markle stepped down from their royal duties and moved to the United States. According to an insider, they are planning to spend Christmas with the royal family.
