Patti LuPone has called out President Donald Trump in her latest interview.

The Broadway actress was one of women in the entertainment industry whom Variety put the spotlight on for its 2020 Power of Women issue. During the interview, she spoke about AIDS and mentioned the rising death tolls due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which she blamed on the president.

LuPone is one of the outspoken critics of the POTUS. In fact, the theater star said that she would not perform if Trump would come to see her. The Grammy winner believes that the current president will prevail against Joe Biden, and due to this, she is considering moving to another country rather than stay in a Trump-led America.

“This country is doomed,” she told Variety. “I think it is a failed experiment. I don’t see us pulling ourselves out of this. I think we’re heading into either fascism or a dictatorship. I think Trump will win a second term, and I think I’ll move to Ireland.”

LuPone was apparently serious about her statement because she has an EU passport. She has also loved Ireland since shooting “Penny Dreadful” in the country and has been looking for property to buy in the area where she can probably relocate.

“I have a finite amount of hours left in my life,” the 71-year-old performer said. “I want to be able to look at nature and go, ‘Oh right. That’s what it’s all about.’”

LuPone is not the only actress who has talked about leaving America if Trump will become the president. Meghan Markle reportedly also said the same thing the first time Trump ran for president.

“She also said at one point she would never live in America as long as Donald Trump was President which is fantastic news for him because he's been able to get his revenge by putting that tweet out about not paying for it,” talkRADIO host Mike Graham recalled (via Express).

“Again, she said I'm never going back to America to live there while he's President,” royal expert Charles Ray shared.

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently residing in Los Angeles. They decided to leave the U.K. and live somewhere else to establish themselves. The royal couple announced when they decided to step back from their royal duties that they wanted to work to be “financially independent.”
