"Peaky Blinders" Season 6 trailer was dropped over the weekend and it opens with actor Cillian Murphy, who plays Thomas "Tommy" Shelby in the popular crime drama series, in a fiery shot.

The action-packed trailer starts with Murphy walking alone in an open field and firing a machine gun. The one-minute, 30-second trailer further shows the 45-year-old Irish actor in a church, and a brutally injured man.

"We have a very powerful enemy," Murphy says. "This will be the end of it." At the end of the trailer, the actor says, "One last deal to be done... then we Peaky Blinders rest."

Considering this is the finale of the series, many fans in the comments section speculated that Murphy's character might die at the end.

"I DONT WANT TO SEE TOMMY DIE THIS SEASON I JUST THINK I WONT BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT PLEASE PROTECT MY BABY," a fan commented. Another fan replied on this comment, "Nobody want him to die I think lol Let's pray for the good."

"You better not kill, nor let Thomas get defeated. Remember, the villain is Michael (and Gina): Tommy is the hero, our hero," one of the users wrote while another user commented, "Yessss Michael and Gina is definitely the villain specially in the trailer when Michael was behind the wagon trailer on fire."

The trailer also features other cast members including Paul Anderson, Harry Kirton, Sophie Rundle, Finn Cole, Harry Kirton and Tom Hardy.

However, the trailer didn't mention the late actress Helen McCrory, who played Aunt Polly in the series. The actress died in April 2021 due to cancer at the age of 52.

"Peaky Blinders" revolves around a gang of the same name led by Tommy Shelby. The storyline follows a police officer's quest to try to end his criminal activities.

The sixth and final series is slated to drop on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2022. The premiere date is yet to be announced.

Series creator Steven Knight confirmed in October 2021 that following the end of the show, "Peaky Blinders" movie version will begin shooting in 2023.
