Penn State Beaver Campus Shooting Leaves 2 Dead

Law enforcement from the Penn State campus system reported a shooting that left at least two victims dead on Wednesday afternoon, officials confirmed to several news outlets including KDKA-TV CBS Pittsburgh. Students are being encouraged by the school's Twitter account to avoid campus if possible and particularly to stay away from the Student Union building and Food Services area.
State Troopers are describing the incident as a murder-suicide involving an employee of the campus and her estranged husband. Campus has officially been closed by school administrators.
The Penn State-Beaver campus in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, was the scene of two people being shot, according to Beaver County 911 dispatchers. The two victims are both dead, law enforcement officials have since confirmed. At least 15 shots were reportedly fired and several ambulances remain on the scene. Penn State issued an alert through their social media outlets that shots were fired near Brodhead Bistro. They also reported that the situation has since been contained.

A staging area near Beaver Valley Mall was being set up for potential need of a stand-by medical helicopter.
