'Penny Dreadful: City Of Angels' Episode 5 Preview: Sister Molly Learns Secret

The preview video of “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels” episode 5 has been released online. The video shows Magda (Natalie Dormer) preparing for a purge as she continues to manipulate people in her different forms. Meanwhile, Lewis (Nathan Lane) will continue his murder investigation.

According to the official plot synopsis, Josefina (Jessica Garza) will confide in Sister Molly (Kerry Bishé), and the latter will find out the shocking secret that Josefina is Tiago’s (Daniel Zovatto) sister. Tiago on the other hand will be busy with the murder investigation with Lewis.

The murder investigation will take Tiago and Lewis to the Vega House. According to the plot synopsis, Tiago will confront Mateo (Jonathan Nieves) in the next episode. The other storyline on the show will be about Councilman Charlton Townsend (Michael Gladis) getting a lecture about his personal life.

A preview video of the next episode has been released online that teases some of the scenes of “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels” episode 5.

“Goodbye you weak and worthless gods,” Magda says in the voiceover in the video.

“It’s time to purge,” the demon says in one of the scenes.

Meanwhile, Lewis will explain to Tiago the significance of the murder investigation. The killing is actually a declaration of war, which means that more bodies will fall in the city if something isn’t done to stop it.

The investigators will have to deal with their own problems before they can crack the case. Lewis knows Tiago isn’t being entirely honest and is hiding something. The veteran officer will confront his partner and ask him to come clean on his secrets.

As far as Magda is concerned, Dormer told Variety that her character believes that all of mankind has to embrace its inner monster. According to the demon, people are “inherently bad” and they will “ choose the baser, more selfish, more egocentric route” whenever they are at a crossroads in their lives.

While the TV series has won some praise by the fans, there have also been concerns. According to Screen Rant, the four characters that Dormer plays tend to dilute the plot and the show has too many storylines that make it a little complicated.

“Penny Dreadful: City of Angels” episode 5 is titled “Children of the Royal Sun.” It will air on May 24 at 10 p.m. EDT on Showtime.
