‘Persona 5’ Confidants Revealed: Business Associates Reportedly Help Unlock Special Skill Bonuses, Other Perks
Altus just revealed new trailers for “Persona 5,” and they introduce the first set of Confidants players can stumble upon in the game. Players of the role-playing PS4, PS3 title can rely on these Confidants to maintain harmonious relationships with Tokyo’s citizens and unlock certain surprises along the way.
On Monday, three new trailers for “Persona 5” were released online. Each trailer introduces a Confidant. There’s clinician Tae Takemi, cafe owner Sojiro Sakura and airsoft gun shop owner Munehisa Iwai. In the trailers, the protagonist of the game could be seen engaging in conversations with each Confidant as they discuss the benefits of being allies.
According to DualShockers, creating a bond with these business associates are not only advantageous for the player, it can also unlock special skill bonuses in the game. Services that will come in handy will also be offered by the Confidants. Then, there are other perks that the Confidants can unlock later on in the title.
The new trailers come after the revelations and announcements at the PlayStation Experience 2016 over the weekend. At the event, digital preorder bonuses and a new story trailer were revealed. The preorder bonuses include the “Protagonist Special Theme & Avatar Set” and the “Izanagi & Izanagi Picaro Set." The first one comes with three avatars and a dynamic theme for the protagonist, while the latter is a special feature that enables players to use “Persona 4’s” Izanagi in the new game.
Another thing that DualShockers learned from the PSX 2016 is the difference in the localized scripts of the new game and “Persona 4: Golden.” Compared to “Golden,” “Persona 5” reportedly has around 50 percent more dialogue. This means that the new game will have longer hours of gameplay.
“Persona 5” was released in Japan on Sept. 15 of this year. It is scheduled to arrive in North America and Europe on April 4, 2017 after its release date was pushed back from its original February scheduled release.
