Pet Cat Viciously Attacked, Killed By 2 Dogs On Home Front Porch, Incident Caught On Camera

Two loose dogs were caught on camera attacking and killing a pet cat on the front porch of a home in Orange Park, Florida.

Speaking to First Coast News, Alicia Dawn, the cat’s owner, said her pet, named Mr. Whiskers, was sitting on the table on the front porch sunbathing Wednesday morning when the incident took place. She said her mother-in-law checked the ring doorbell video after hearing a commotion outside and saw the two canines yanking the feline off the table.

“The next thing you know, the cat is getting pulled up and thrown against my house. How horrible to think what she’s going through. It only lasted a minute. Just seeing her trying to fight back, it’s terrible,” Dawn said.

Dawn and other neighbors said the dogs have been roaming in the neighborhood for a while now. The neighbors said their pets too were attacked and injured by the dogs. There was no information about whom the dogs belonged to.

Dawn added that she feared it could have been a child in place of her pet cat.

“I know dogs will go after small animals because of their prey drive, but I know kids are small too and I have a one-year-old, and so it just terrifies me,” she said, adding that she has filed a report with Clay County Animal Services.
