Peter Weber And Madison Prewett Update: ‘The Bachelor’ Couple ‘Doomed’ After Finale
Peter Weber may have selected Madison Prewett at his ultimate “The Bachelor” winner during ABC’s Season 24 finale Tuesday night but it definitely wasn’t a happy sendoff for the pair.
During the two-part special, Peter ended his engagement to initial winner Hannah Ann Sluss and pursued a relationship with Madison. After Madison and Peter reunited on stage during Tuesday’s episode and agreed to take their relationship one day at a time, his mother, Barbara Weber, made it clear she was not a fan of her son’s pick. Her negative comments about Madison came one day after she was slammed online for her actions towards Madison during part one of the special.
As a result, spoiler blogger Reality Steve doesn’t seem to believe that Madison and Peter will last long term. In a post-finale update on Wednesday, he shared his belief that the couple is “doomed.”
“Peter and Madi already have enough obstacles in front of them to overcome to start this relationship, now you throw in the fact that his family absolutely HATES her. No, they don’t dislike her. They [expletive] HATE her. It’s sickening,” he wrote.
“There is zero chance Peter and Madi make it through this. None,” he added. “Hell, they might not even make it through the weekend. I just think they’re too different and I’ve said it all season. But now with this sort of vitriol and hatred coming from his own family towards her, why would she even WANT to be part of this?”
As for why he thinks they’re specifically “doomed,” he said it has to do with rumors he’s been hearing about Peter. He claims that “someone close to the situation” was “shocked” by the finale outcome because “there were other girls involved in that picture that weren’t mentioned.”
“Sooooo yeah, Peter and Madi are doomed. I don’t buy any of that relationship we saw last night, unfortunately, because now all these rumors I’ve been hearing for months of ‘Oh, Peter slept with so-and-so’ and ‘Oh, Peter was here doing this with this girl,’ honestly, I can’t rule any of them out. The playboy I heard about all season seems to be coming true. At first it happened at the expense of Hannah Ann, and now it looks like it’s gonna happen at Madi’s expense. Get out while you can, Madi. Don’t fight for this anymore to prove Barb wrong.”
Reality Steve’s comments came after he spoiled Peter’s season last-minute on Monday and posted that he didn’t think Madison and Peter would stay together post-show.
“Long term, no, I don’t see it lasting,” he wrote, citing Madison’s faith and decision to wait for sex until marriage as a main dealbreaker for the pair.
“They’re on two different wavelengths when it comes to that,” he added. “But in the short term, I think he wants her most.”
