The petition to remove Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Sussex titles continues.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex might be stripped of their royal titles. There is a petition asking the Brighton & Hove Council to reject the usage of the titles “Duke of Sussex” and “Duchess of Sussex” by Prince Harry and Markle since they are said to “morally wrong and disrespectful to the country of East Sussex.”

Over three thousand individuals have already signed the petition that was started by Chris Ross. A netizen just shared the petition on social media to encourage more to sign it.

“Please sign petition to remove ‘Sussex’ titles from Meghan Markle and Harry. Will be put before #sussex council on 19th December 2019. Thank you,” the netizen wrote on Twitter.

One online user asked if only the U.K. citizens can sign the petition because she’s not a U.K. resident, but she wants to support the effort of stripping Prince Harry and Markle’s title. Another online user said that anyone can sign it.

“They’re all about breaking the tradition and gender and racial equality. But they’re hanging onto their titles with tooth and nail. Disgusting,” a different netizen who agreed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should be stripped of their royal titles commented.

“Great idea. They somehow tarnish everything they touch,” another user opined.

At present, Prince Harry and Markle are in South Africa for an official tour. The Duchess of Sussex surprised many when she wore Queen Elizabeth II’s most hated item during their visit to Cape Town.

Markle arrived in a black and white printed wrap dress and complemented her get-up with a pair of Carina wedge espadrilles. Many are aware that the Queen doesn’t like the footwear. Samantha Leal of Marie Claire even called Her Majesty a “notorious wedge-hater.”

Aside from the duchess’ controversial footwear, a netizen said that Prince Harry looked unhappy with Markle. In one photo, Markle is shaking hands with someone while Prince Harry looks down. According to several netizens, Prince Harry has lost his spark after he married the former “Suits” star.
