The increasing demand of perfection has taken people to extremes, not only getting surgeries performed but risking health through abnormal eating regimens in order to obtain the ideal figure.

Recent controversies involve the banning of competitions which awards surgeons for their work in breast enhancements. The fear was that these prizes promote and entice cosmetic surgeries for people who have not even considered it.
