A Missouri man has been charged with assaulting his girlfriend after he allegedly bit her nose and beat her with cans of pie filling.

Darrell Beetler, of Springfield, Mo., was charged with domestic assault in the second degree for the alleged attack on his girlfriend, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

Beetler is scheduled to be in court Feb. 21 to answer the charges. Police claimed Beetler attacked his girlfriend in Springfield last month following a dispute over a tenant.

According to cops, Beetler became enraged at his girlfriend and assaulted her for four hours, including punching her in the face, hitting her with cans of pie filling, biting her nose and poking her with a knife, KTTS reported.

During the alleged assault, Beetler allegedly asked his 15-year-old son to get a bigger knife and load a gun stashed inside the Missouri home, Missourinet.com reported.

The son came back with a rifle, and Beetler allegedly made death threats to his girlfriend, according to the website.

The Springfield man allegedly stopped the assault when his girlfriend had to vomit. That’s when she was able to call 911 and flee the alleged assault.

The victim needed six stitches for the bite wound to her nose. She also suffered several cuts and bruises in the attack, police told Missourinet.com.
