Pirate suspects sent to Kenya
Nine Somalis are expected to be sent to Kenya for prosecution after an attempted hijack of a cargo ship.
The military says the Rheinland-Pfalz frigate, which is holding the suspected pirates, is scheduled to deliver them to Kenyan authorities at the port of Mombasa on Tuesday.
According to Germany, the suspects were captured on March 3 Germany says they were captured on March 3 after they attacked the Hamburg-based MV Courier cargo ship.
Germany's Foreign Ministry said its ambassador in Kenya would deliver a request for their prosecution on Monday.
On Friday the EU and Kenya agreed to allow the country to prosecute suspected pirates captured by European forces.
